Reception Newsletter - Spring Half Term 2
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed the half term holiday.
This half term our first topic will be based around Healthy Eating and Exercise, before we begin to look at Spring towards the end of the half term, and as the weather hopefully begins to warm up! We will be talking about the importance of eating fruit, including investigating unusual and exotic fruits, and then designing and making fruit kebabs. Please let me know if your child has any allergies.
Sainsbury’s Trip Thursday 23rd February 2017.
I have arranged for us to visit Sainsbury’s fruit and veg department in order to sample some of their more exotic fruit, and to understand how fruit is stored before it is sold to us. This is a very enjoyable trip for the children, and if you would like to join us, please let me know.
Curriculum Talk Monday 27th February 2017
There will be a talk for parents covering all aspects of the EYFS curriculum. A letter has been sent out from Mr Bates regarding this evening, so please return your letter if you plan to attend.
WH Smith visit Thursday 2nd March 2017
On World Book Day, we are planning to take the children to WHSmith for them to buy a book using their £1 book token which they will be given at school. There is no cost involved in this visit. If you would like to accompany us to the store, please let me know. We will be leaving at approx. 1.15 and returning by 2.15pm.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns about your child, please come and speak to us at any time.
Many thanks for your ongoing support.
